Tiffany Wong

Marketing Programs

Tiffany Wong | A California native, Tiffany traveled the world before planting roots in Seattle. She is the Proposal Center Manager (Redmond site) for Aerojet Rocketdyne’s Business Development and Strategy organization. Tiffany received her B.S., Neuroscience from the University of California. While working with Amnesty International in Atlanta, she met world-renowned heath experts from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control who exposed her to some limitations government agencies face when trying to address public health issues. She contemplated business school- using business as a vehicle to effect change. Tiffany went on to get her M.B.A. with dual emphases in International Business and Management at the University of San Francisco, School of Management. During business school, Tiffany completed a Middle East global immersion program, during which she met with many local and transnational companies in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Istanbul and learned about their diverse approaches to sustainability. Upon graduation, she spent time in Geneva and Copenhagen and furthered her understanding of global development and microfinance.

Why Net Impact? Working for a company in the aerospace and defense industries, Tiffany is constantly challenged to think of ways to integrate sustainability. Net Impact provides a platform of resources like the Net Impact Conference to webinars with industry experts- from which she can draw ideas that work. Tiffany has been a member of Net Impact since business school, where she served as her chapter’s VP, Marketing and a Net Impact Board Fellow with community clinic Lyon-Martin Health Services.

About Tiffany: Work-life balance is Tiffany’s eternal goal. She fills her free time with international & domestic travel adventures, puppy time (2 Pembroke Welsh Corgis named Rio & Butters), volunteering with amazing local microfinance organizations (Global Partnerships and Lumana), and captaining her volleyball (2-time champs!) and flag football teams.

Erik Bergset

Marketing Programs

Erik Bergset | Erik has lived throughout the Northwest his entire life, moving East of the Cascades a few years at a time to dry out. While earning his undergraduate degree in International Political Economy, he had the opportunity to study throughout Central America. Learning more about their culture and the issues developing countries face, he served as an international observer in El Salvador's presidential elections. Since returning, Erik has focused his volunteer time on implementing the skills he has acquired both at the University of Puget Sound and while earning his MBA from Boise State University: from facilitating leadership camps for at-risk youth in South Seattle to reviewing grant dispersal for the United Way to participating in a Social Entrepreneurship Start-Up Weekend. His professional background has been in health care administration and he currently works at UW Medicine in their IT Department.

Why Net Impact? Through volunteering with the Red Cross in Mississippi after Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Erik saw first hand the effectiveness that businesses could have in an emergency effort. This was an influence in his decision to attend graduate school where he would co-found the 1st Net Impact chapter in the state, earning the University's "best new student organization" award. After attending two national Net Impact conferences, he is excited to be involved with the Seattle professional chapter and the innovative people and organizations that dot this dynamic city.

About Erik: Like many of his peers in Net Impact Seattle, Erik loves international travel and recently spent a long weekend in Vancouver, BC. More at home, he enjoys slowly improving his cooking, refusing to defy convention as an Idahoan by eating potatoes most every day. When summer rolls around he can be found on the trails of the Cascades, trying to wring every dollar's worth from his NW Forest Pass.
