About the Event
The state of Washington is also celebrating the 15th Orca Action Month on June 15th. The 2021 theme developed by the Orca Salmon Alliance (OSA) is “We Are Family,” due to the many similarities orca families and human families have in common. It is especially fitting after a year where so many of us were separated from our loved ones for so long due to the pandemic. There will be a series of educational and celebratory events held throughout the month which you can learn more about here.
This idea also draws on the attention that nature received throughout the pandemic. I’m sure many of you saw dolphins swimming through the canals of Venice…This article explores the complicated lessons learned from lockdown in regard to nature and its healing specifically.
Join us for a short, interactive 30 minutes (12:15 – 12:45pm) next Wednesday as we discuss this further. We encourage anyone involved in nature restoration, Orca Action Month, etc. to participate. We love hearing from experts. In future newsletters, we hope to share the knowledge passed along to us from those who attend and are within our very own Net Impact Seattle community.
How it works:
- RSVP here: Net Impact Seattle Events Page
- We will send an email to all those who RSVP with a link to join us via Gather
- Read any or all of the following materials for more information on the topic:
