About the Event
Summer is underway in Seattle and we are again breaking record temperatures in the Pacific Northwest. Summer 2021 is looking to be a warmer and drier than average year, and with it comes higher risk for fires. How serious are you viewing fire risk in Western Washington? Are you doing anything to prepare? Join us for a short, interactive 30 minutes (12:15 – 12:45pm) on Wednesday, July 14th as we discuss this theme further. We encourage anyone involved in forestry, meteorology, and climate sciences to participate and share your perspective. In future newsletters, we hope to share the knowledge passed along to us from those who attend and are within our very own Net Impact Seattle community.
How it works:
- RSVP here: Net Impact Seattle Events Page
- We will send an email to all those who RSVP with a link to join us via Gather
- Read any or all of the following materials for more information on the topic:
Washington wildfire season expected to start early this year with dry, hot conditions
Looking to escape wildfire smoke in WA this year? A new tool could help
Don’t worry, we will also send a reminder email the week of so that you keep us at the top of your mind come Wednesday. See you on Wednesday, July 14th at 12:15pm for our “Very Important Lunch Date”! And don’t forget to bring your lunch!
