The New Net Impact Seattle Professional Chapter!

Updated: Oct 20, 2020

Meet the newest members of the NISEA Leadership Team

We hope this post finds you well and healthy. As we close in on the end of 2020, there is plenty to look back and reflect on. So much has happened within our local community and the nation as a whole. It can be overwhelming, inspiring, exhausting and/or all of the above. To help you appreciate all of the important lessons we have learned and will continue to learn going forward, let's first hit you with a zinger of a quote.

"The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you." - B.B. King

The Before Times

Back in February, we were welcomed to the Net Impact Seattle Chapter Leadership Team. Everyone was a brand new board members as the previous board cycled out. (Sidenote - We want to give a big shout out to those former members for helping us onboard so seamlessly.) Unfortunately, after only two brief yet highly productive meetings as a group, everything changed!

COVID-19 Strikes

In March, the city shut down and life changed as we knew it. So much of what our team had been cooking up in those meetings felt as if it was washed away right out into the Puget Sound. Thankfully as time passed and people's lives began to stabilize, we were able to regroup and rethink how we wanted to do things.

We took a deep look at our mission and structure as a Seattle based chapter, an arm of Net Impact Central. We established new goals for how our Chapter, and we laid some groundwork for how we can truly have the most impact within the local professional network of Seattle.

Net Impact Seattle Strikes Back

Now that the foundation has been laid, we can't wait to get back out there and reintroduce ourselves to the Net Impact community. Please get familiar with our new website, and follow us on social @netimpactsea. In the coming months we will be rolling out a series of recommended local events as well as events hosted by Net Impact Seattle. You won't want to miss it!

Say Hello!

If you have an idea for an event you feel would be a great fit for NISEA to help support or put on, send us a message at niseattle@gmail.com and introduce yourself.
